Spring in Lexington is marked by cool nights and warm days. In early March daytime temperatures can rise anywhere from the 50’s to the low 80’s. At night cooler temperatures set in which make for the arrival of the area’s natural spring beauty. Warmer air temperatures from the Gulf of Mexico region begin to push up bringing in warmer temperatures. It’s time for flower blooms, rich blue grass and the horse business gears up.
Get ready for summer! The central region of the Bluegrass State has summer weather that is perfect for taking advantage of all the area has to offer. Highs range from the mid 80’s to 90’s. Nights cool often due to summer breezes from the plains and even Gulf of Mexico. Golf and other activities in the area are perfect for the summer months in Lexington and outlying communities.
With cooler nights fall weather brings on rich colors with the changing of leaves from summer green to an assortment of beautiful fall colors that cover the landscape. Temperatures begin to fall to daytime highs around the mid 50’s and often 60’s. Fall signals a vast assortment of regional festivals as well as high school and college football and much more.
Winter in Lexington averages around the low 40’s during the day and nighttime temperatures in the mid 20’s at night. But, with Lexington’s central location lows can drop into the low teens and below. The area does sometimes see snowfall during winter months.
